Pretty much exactly like most predicted in offseason.

Good enough pitching, worrying lack of offence.

Check and check.

"It's early."

Except, after the all star break last year this team scored the 4th fewest runs in the AL.

The sample size of this lineup being really bad is growing.

And they got rid of their best hitter.

I'm really confused. Zeke bunted and made an out.

I thought bunting was the cure to all offensive woes?

I don't get it. I thought bunting was a guaranteed way to score a lot of runs?

Only when it's the big bats bunting. I understand your confusion.

That's such a bogus call. I get why it happened. I figured when it took so long they would be unable to tell for sure if he was on the base or not. Not conclusive.

it's still bogus.

I'm nearing the point of being done with replay in baseball. It's not like hockey where they can have a zillion cameras pointed at the net to review goals.

I'm tired of obvious, but not 100 million per cent clear, calls not being overturned because it's "inconclusive." Either get more and better angles or don't use the technology.

I wouldn't mind the firm line between "inconclusive = not overturned" and "conclusive = overturned" if they were consistent about it. But sometimes you get umps that get inconclusive review video and still end up overturning the call because they figure it's obvious or makes sense or whatever other reason they can come up with.
