I dont see MIF beating HV71 honestly so that might mean another 3 reinforcements we could use, especially in the 4th line.

Pretty sure Hansen will join late if Sharks doesnt do to great, he loves playing for the national team. Frans Nielsen has been captain several times so I hope Detroit lets him go.

As far as Mikkel Boedker goes, I hope he stays in America. He played so bad during the olympic qualification, it was almost embarrassing to watch.

Frederik Andersen wont go. Toronto can't afford to lose a #1 goalie, their backups are horrible. Especially after the scare they got after the olympic qualification where Freddy got a shoulder injury.

Daniel Nielsen Confirmed out due to injury to the hand, 6-7 weeks recovery.

Stefan Lassen: Confirmed out due to injury.

Bjørkstrand: Confirmed out due to coach (CBJ) saying no. Oh.. and playoffs :P

#1 goalie confirmed: Sebastian Dahm. Still two goalies in the run for 2nd and 3rd spot.

Backs confirmed: Jesper B., Oliver and Markus Lauridsen, Matias Lassen, Emil Kristensen and Nicholas B. Jensen.

Forwards confirmed: Regin, Green, Mads Christensen, Storm, Hardt, Jesper Jensen, Julian Jakobsen, Bau, Ehlers, Morten Poulsen, From and Morten Madsen

According to Jimmy Bøjgaard, one of the best danish hockey commentators its extremely unlikely we will see anymore danes from NHL. Maybe one from AHL and two from SHL if Malmø doesnt win their game against H71V.

Denmark is host next year and they all want to play at home if possible.

Morten Green? WTF. He is not NT-caliber anymore.

MIF is already out.

Yeah its strange, especially since Center is something we are excellent at producing and have a lot of quality there.

I think its because hes been the captain for like 10 years or something. I'm 99.99% sure this will be his last tournament for team Denmark. Hes been horrible this season.

Or he will get to play the next world championship in Denmark next year in the 4th line or something. They did the same for Staal when he played. He helped us breakthrough from the B group into the A group and he played 4th line a couple of years as the "grand old man"

It helps alot that we have gotten better on the european side. I didnt expect a lot of NHLers in the first place, because they are probably going to be begging the employers to let them go next year.

I agree that its a little strange he is there, but I think Janne believes him to be a vital and important leader on and off the ice.
And he has produced "decently" for a 4th line center.

The loss of Lassen and Daniel Nielsen hurts:/

I like the suggestion in bøjgaards blog with Regin and Ehlers/From and an shl 2nd line.

What make you guys so certain that Hardt and M. Christensen are coming? I remember both to have opted out before at WC.

Frankly, I'd be surprised if "last hoorah" for Morten Green wasn't for plaing in the championships next year in Denmark. May not be up to par for the team but the whole emotional and sentimental value of it might be too high for them to leave him off. Although I don't know how he is perceived as "casual" hockey fan in Denmark.

Jesper Jensen, Mads Christensen and Patrick Russell will most likely also join the team. We hope for Nicklas Jensen. It will be almost sensational if any NHL'er besides Ehlers will participate.

Mads Christensen is a huge addition to the team. The most winning player in European hockey ever(Playing on an A-division team). He has won gold 10 out of his 15 year long career.

4x Herning Blue Fox (Denmark)
1x Sønderjyske (Denmark)
3x Eisbären Berlin (Germany, DEL)
2x EHC Red Bull München (Germany, DEL)
