There are now currently 53 players in camp - 30 forwards, 18 defensemen and five goaltenders.

The following players were released from their tryout contracts - LW Luke Kirwan, LW Trent Fox, RW Justin Brazeau, D Stephen Desrocher, D Médric Mercier and D Nate Billitier.

FWIW, practice this am is Tortorella's "group 2" (per The Athletic) (non-NHL'ers) and features notables Abramov, Hannikainen, Thurkauf.

"Group one for CBJ (not game group) includes veterans plus Motte, Dalpe, Carlsson, Milano, Dubois, Bjorkstrand"

Basically everyone else is in the "Cleveland" group - Abramov, Hannikainen, Thurkauf most notably.

How has Zach Werenski been doing this preseason? Is he fully recovered from his facial injuries? He's not actually going to be on the 2nd pairing like mentioned above is he?
