For what it's worth the Giants never fire coaches after two years. They're too proud for that. It's an admittance that they messed up and messed up badly. And it looks like the Darnold chatter is that he's staying another year. Somehow I feel the Jets will end up with Cousins.

But this could be Jerry Reese's last stand, so you might as well clean house

Another trash game by the Raiders offense. Especially Carr and the O-Line need to get their **** together. Also a great game by Khalil Mack once again with 2 sacks and 3 tackles for loss.

And Carr has a broken back and will be out for awhile

The college football OT rule is lame, but pro football's almost getting worse reducing the OT to ten minutes. There's gonna be an increased number of ties going forward.

It's ridiculous. They're going to be playing 2 hand touch in another 10 years. The NFL is being "wussified" even more than the NHL. I saw a few people at the game yesterday with, "MAKE HOCKEY VIOLENT AGAIN" hats. Funny.

It doesn't feel right that Sam Rosen is calling the Jets game

Eh I'm fine with that, in football he's a neutral being - it's more like having him call one of the NBCSN playoff games away from the MSG propoganda machine. But a total AFC game being on FOX is laughable to begin with. Why not just stick the Giant game on FOX and the Jets on CBS where they belong?

At least the Jets are showing the cupboard isn't COMPLETELY barren...this D is playing the way it was supposed to play last year (other than the overrated Leonard Williams). But if you have a D playing well and then manage to get an Alex Smith or a Kirk Cousins in the offseason you don't need 'the tank'.

The Rai_ers will continue to suck until they finally fire Norton. A 5 year old picking random plays in Madden would do a better job as DC.:banghead:

Speaking of the Raiders what happened to your GREAT offensive line anyway? Last year when Latavius Murray and their backups all had good numbers people said they were scrubs and anyone could run behind the line but old man Lynch hasn't.

To be fair, I don't think Dick LeBeau could make that defense any better

McKenzie completely ignoring the giant holes at linebacker and DT in the draft and free agency certainly doesn't help but Norton has no f***ing idea what he is doing. It's his 3rd year as DC, there is no progress at all and he is still trying to force the same scheme as Seattle despite lacking the personal to play it. Other teams just have to double Mack on every down and either run or pass over the middle.

Lynch should be the backup, Richard is averaging 2.5 yards per carry more than Lynch. Also letting Murray walk was a stupid idea as he was a great fit for the Raiders offense. Doesn't help either that the RT sucks and Penn is out of shape after his holdout.

I very much disagree with this line of thought. We all loved Scott Stevens, but you really can't have guys ruining the careers of star players with these high speed hits to the head. And if you go back and watch hockey from the 80's. certainly in the playoffs, it's so much slower and there are so many hook's and holds that aren't called it's comical.

And like Football you still see huge hits all over the place. In general, more then you saw back in the day, it's just they are trying to keep hits to the head out of the mix.
