It seems Colorado would have an inside edge as to obtaining Karlsson or could maybe even steal Hoffman, if they are interested in him. Sens are not going to give up 4th OA this year, and I imagine they are searching for a way to avoid giving COL what looks right now to potentially be a very high first round pick next year. That was such a stupid trade for Duchene.
Sometimes it's better when your team's GM doesn't make a move that is foolish in the long term, even when many fans dying to "win now" may be clamoring for it.

HC is totally over-rated when you win the Cup and totally under-rated when you are a consistent playoff contender. So much depends on what kind of a team the GM and Hockey Operations people put in front of you. Mike Babcock......$6M per and CJ at $5M per is a joke. No way are they worth that kind of money.
