I think they're really trying hard to find a good combination for McDavid's line and Eichel's line. I hope they have a good idea after the three exhibition games but the lines were still being sorted out late this game.

They both need similar types of players and I don't think there are enough of them on this team...

No idea, they better reunite though. Nuge and MacKinnon clearly have chemistry.

I really want to see Gaudreau-Matthews-Scheifele. It would hurt the depth to stack their 3 best players on one line, but I think they'd just dominate.

Then do drouin/nuge/mack, larkin/mcd/eichel, then couturier's line.

I'd like to see trouba come in for Jones on defense, and more Parayko overall.

Said it earlier. The top 6 needs to be:

Gaudreau - McDavid - Matthews
Drouin - RNH - Mackinnon

Larkin - Eichel - Scheifele would be my 3rd line.

I don't get it. It was an extremely functional line. They should keep it together. None of those players brought anything crucial to any other line.

This is the setup I want to see for the next match:

Matthews-McDavid-Scheifele
Gaudreau-Larkin-Saad
Drouin-RNH-MacKinnon
Miller-Eichel-Trochek

They may not have the pieces for McDavid.

Larkin and Scheiffele or Matthews maybe if they want to win they should focus on getting two of the other lines going and play McDavid with a couple of the lower players. It shouldn't be about McDavid. Larkin McDavid and Scheifele may work great.

Assuming players will still be going to the Olympics the future is bright for Team USA, Gaudreau, Matthews, Eichel, Ekblad and Tkachuk to name a few young guys and there's plenty more.
