Boedker, Nielsen, Andersen will most likely be in the PO, but would also add massively to Danish team.

First round of the PO's are done by the time WC begins.

Bødker will most likely not make it to the Po's, while I cant see Islanders beating Caps or Rangers over 7 games. Ducks - Sharks could be an interesting series.

Anyways....focus on olympic qualification.

No love for Nicolai Meyer? 70 points in the danish league got to mean something?

as a depth player maybe?

at offense Denmark can ice a whole team without using Danish league players.

Meyer is cool though!

And btw, he is the highest scoring Dane since Lars Mølgaard in 01/02 and he is top 5 Dane alltime.. pretty impressive.

Nikolaj Ehlers - Lars Eller - Frederik Storm
Patrick Bjorkstrand - Mads Christensen - Nichlas Hardt
Nicklas Jensen - Anders H Poulsen - Oliver Bjorkstrand

N.Jensen and O.Bjorkstrand should get a chance. Young players playing good in AHL (a leauge that is on the same level as SHL). No need to bring players like Madsen again.....there is plenty of experience already.

Gonna be interesting to see what kind of team Denmark can ice, all their NHLers except Frans Nielsen and Frederik Andersen are available right?

Mikkel Bödker - Lars Eller - Janik Hansen
Nikolaj Ehlers - - Oliver Bjorkstrand

Looks solid, Islanders might be knocked out in the first round right, so that might give them Nielsen. Two lines of NHL regulars, hell that might even be more than some top-6 nations in this tournament

Yeah offense looks good.

D not so much.

Hardt (I know he is offense) has said no, and Larsen also for the 2nd year in a row.
He is not too popular in Danish hockey circles atm.

Ehlers confirmed this morning.

Hansen says he is counting on participating!

With NYI dealing with a lot of injuries, a first round exit seems fairly likely and that could allow Frans Nielsen to join Denmark before their first game at the WC. They could realistically have everybody but Andersen and Bjorkstrand for the WC. Hansen did say in an interview I believe, that the WC would help him prepare for Olympic qualification, which would mean that NHL players would be allowed to participate. So, this tournament could be a mini preview of what the Danes will look like in September in Belarus. It will be fun to watch this Denmark squad finally have the majority of their top forwards. They'll be tough.

It looks good, but tbh. they have dissapointed before with allot of good players.

And done really good, with really bad teams.

All depends on the mood of the players.

Whats the news with Bjork? Is he back down with lake erie after the NHL has ended?

Also, it really pisses me off that Larsen has said no two years in a row now!

So:

on D:

Philip Larsen has opted out for the 2nd year in a row for no apparent reason - Danish coach is not happy!
Steffan Lassen who is a very good D for Denmark is questionable.
Marcus Lauridsen, Olivers younger brother is out with injury.

On O:

Nichlas Hardt has, like Larsen opted out, dont know the reason, but also pisses me off.
Julian Jakobsen is injured.
Peter Regin, who finally plays in Europe, is also injured, after a great season in the KHL.

So, Denmark needs all the players they can get from NA.

If Larsen opts out for the olympic qualification, he can go screw himself, and never ever play for Denmark again.

Yup, he's with Lake Erie and they're a pretty good team in their conference, so I wouldn't expect him to be able to join Denmark. If he's their only forward missing from NA, they'll be in good shape offensively.
