When Bennett was in the NHL and Drai struggling in the AHL:

'LOL coilers shoulda taken Bennett he's >>>>> Draisaitl'

When Drai is tearing up the NHL and outproducing Bennett in 1/5th of the games:

'Hey, whoa now, it's a small sample size and look at his linemates!'

Please never change, HF. You're way too much fun when you're bipolar.

Remember how Filatov had a hattrick early in his rookie season? Good times.

This is pretty embarrassing. It's been two games, two.

You used the exact same arguments over and over as to why Eberle, Nuge and Hall were worse than Gaudreau last year.

And now your proclaiming Draisatl the better player after two games. Ok bud

Right, because that's what I said. I'm more commenting on the people who are swayed so dramatically by their own bias and small sample sizes. The Bennett >>>>> Drai crowd were morons from the get-go.

can you go one post without bringing up Gaudreau? He's a great little player but you were one of the ones trying to crown he and Monahan as the next Toews and Kane. juuuust a bit early for that.

Draisatl also had no points in his first 5 or so AHL games...

Bennett has 4 points in his last 3 games as well. It's going to be a long a long time before we figure out who's better.

Will Drai put up more points this year? Probably, look at his line mates, Bennett is playing mostly with Frolik, Colbourne, Jones, Jooris, Backlund and Ferland. Not exactly offensive juggernauts

was he not with Gaudreau last night

I love how people complain Bennett line mates are scrubs Leon has RNH and Hall, lol. If he's good as advertised it doesn't matter who ya play with, just look at Sid's line mates over the years. And weren't Flame fans saying Johnny Hockey would go 1st overall over RNH in redraft, wasn't he on Bennett's line against Oilers?

Why can't Sam Bennett cure cancer with his tears?

Anyhow, I doubt Draisaitl will be a major NHL point producer but in a year or two... when he's on the ice the puck only heads in one direction (like he does in the WHL/CHL) due to his hockey IQ. I expect him to be +30 sometime in his career and constantly put 40-60points.

Is that wise in the latter's case? He's not exactly lighting the lamp.

He's gotten plently of chances.

6 individual high scoring chances, 11 individual scoring chances and 12 shots in 8 games.

For comparison Bennett also has 6 individual high scoring chances, and 15 individual scoring chances and 12 shots in 11 games.

Virtanen also leads our team in hits.

Also before this turns into a Virtanen vs Bennett thread I'm not saying that Virtanen is as good as Bennett. Just trying to show that he while on the ice he has been very effective at creating scoring chances.

I also understand that Bennett has not had the perfect start to the season and that he will most definitely improve. But if Bennett has been good enough to be in the NHL then I think Virtanen deserves to be in the NHL as well.

Different from my Final Rankings from the summer of 2014, but at this point in time. I would rank them this way.

1. Ekblad
2. Larkin
3. Ehlers
4. Reinhart
5. Bennett
6. Draisaitl
7. McCann
8. Fabbri
9. Pastrnak
10. Virtanen

There are a host of good AHL'ers that get HM to fill out the list. Ritchie, Nylander, and Vrana fit the bill the best
