Some realistic targets... We probably are going to offer Ruutu, Tlusty, some picks and Victor Rask. And Jay Harrison and Drayson Bowman as throw-ins.

From Flames: Matt Stajan, Lee Stempniak, Mikael Backlund, Lance Bouma

From Sabres: Drew Stafford, Brian Flynn, Steve Ott

From Stars [sadly]: Ray Whitney and Erik Cole

From Panthers: Brad Boyes, Tomas Flaischmann, Tom Gilbert

From Habs: David Desharnais and Daniel Briere

From Predators: Nick Spalling, Gabriel Bourque, David Legwand

From Oilers: Ales Hemsky, Sam Gagner, Jeff Petry

From Devils: Jacob Josefson, Mark Fayne

From Islanders: Josh Bailey, Michael Grabner

From Senators: Colin Greening and Cory Conacher

From Jets: Devin Setoguchi

Flames, Oilers, Preds and Isles looks like good trade partners for us.

If we can dump Harrison, Ruutu and Bowman, that would be ideal world. Palushaj is better hockey player than Bowman easily. Another D could bump Bellemore as a 7th guy...

The only trade I support right now is Rask for Backlund. Anything else is just getting rid of depth for no reason. Even in goal, the three can't stay healthy at once.

Don't like Rask for Backlund. Rask could be a legitimate prospect at forward and we've had so few of those. I'd support Nash+ for Backlund though.

I thought Rask's game had dropped off lately. Wasn't he demoted to the 3rd line recently?

^ I don't doubt that you said that. I also don't doubt that you probably predicted he'd have a great first year. Taking both sides of an argument...it's what you do. It's not as if Rask for Backlund is a bad deal, though.

Plus he still has skating concerns, and of course, Charlotte/Lowell/Albany's complete failure to develop players has me concerned about his future.

According rumors, Rutherford looking around for top 6 winger, too.

Rask for Backlund is good that's solve our third line center question marks for next few seasons. Backlund is solid two-way young player.

I just want to find a way to add good winger too.
