Time to sweep the Kraken!

Worried we’re going to burn out Skinner for playoffs.

I don’t know what GMKH is up to but if there is an expectation that we’re winning anything with 97 & 29 together we’re in for a vast disappointment.

Once we get closer to clinching, I assume he's going to get some extra rest days. We'll likely have the ability to call up Rodrigue.

Starting Saturday there will be a stretch of 6games in 9nights= Nutty schedule.

We have all these games in hand but the NHL screws us over putting big lumps of them together. Other teams just get a properly paced out schedule. March and April feature some brutal schedule packing of games.

They even mess with them beyond the 6 in 9 stretch as they only play 2 games in the following 8 days, then it's 11 games in 19 days, then three days off, then 6 in 9 against including a 5 in 7 stretch to finish.

Even though they have a lot of games to make up, they sure seem to be making sure to pile as many in a short span as possible.

Well it was pretty much guaranteed Skinner would be playing one of the two games this weekend. I'd have picked Pittsburgh, but I guess the logic here is 2 days off, play a game, then 2 days off, then play a game instead 3 days off, play a game, 1 day off, play a game.

Hopefully this means the plan is for the 6 games in 9 days is per below, then they have a stretch of only 2 games in 8 days where they can figure out the rest of the way knowing exactly what their post-deadline lineup will be.

Career numbers vs. Pittsburgh aren't bad.

2-1-1, 2.91 GAA, .918 Save Percentage in 5 appearances. Those numbers despite him being lit up coming in relief for Nedeljkovic for 4 goals on 13 shots, where Pittsburgh scored 11 in total.

His four starts:
3-2 Shootout win (36 saves) for Detroit in 2022
4-1 loss with ENG (26 saves on 29 shots) for Colorado in 2017
4-3 OTW (28 saves on 31 shots) for Colorado in 2016
1-0 OTL (47 saves@!@) for Colorado in 2014.

Granted 3 of those games were a long time ago, but he should be confident going in there.

Malkin and Crosby have 7 points combined in against him in his career. 2 goals, 5 assists. 2 of the goals and 1 of the assists coming in that nightmare game.

I think you are right. We aren't getting any major trades and we aren't winning with what we have in goal and defense likely. This isn't Ken and Teller - the magic show.

I tend to agree with you. I think Hyman has taken over the Draisaitl role this season, so McDavid-Hyman should stay together and Draisaitl-RNH can form a second line, maybe with Foegele as the third wheel. McLeod, Kane or Holloway can work on the first line depending on who's hot at the time.

I like the kid and think there's a future player there, but Holloway has a ways to go in terms of being "hot" or taking a regular turn in the top 6.

I know they do...but they still have to enter all that shit in and some of them are moving targets until the very end. I am sure dozens of schedules are generated before final sign-off is done. And then that is another thing....I assume each franchise has to sign-off on their schedule. Getting them to do that and dealing with any grievances they may have which may naturally affect other teams and their agreeance and of course other facility commitments etc...

It would just be a shitty mundane job.

I kinda feel like one of the few competant project managers I've worked with in the past could figure this out alone in under a week.
