Zibby is a fantasy hockey annoyance. For the simple reason that he seems out of shape and unengaged for the first 25 games of the season for the last 2 years and then turns on the jet fuel at game 25.

Last year covid was the reason. Only 3 goals and 6 assists in his first 25 games. Finished with 21 goals and 20 assists, 41 points in the last 30 games

This year slow start not as bad due to no covid, but 4 goals and 16 assists first 25 games. Since then 14 goals 15 assists, 29 points in the last 22 games.

I always try to buy low on him by game 20 as folks are frustrated he isn't producing as much as they hoped

Ya he is way too inconsistent. Put some big points in garbage games. Where as Landeskog brings it every night.

Sweden doesn't really have a high end offensively skilled forward. A bunch of top line guys but no top ten forward in the league.

Finland has three forwards in Barkov, Rantanen and Aho that are more skilled/better than any of the Swedish forwards.

Zibanejad is top 10 in goals over the last 4 seasons.

I dont see any finnish players in that top 10.

Meh, a complementary player, not able to dominate and lead the charge. Although, none of the Swedish forwards are anymore - maybe Filip Forsberg when he’s on and not injured

For one, I don't believe that Nylander is in the discussion as the top Swedish forward, though he isn't far off... but Nylander actually is the line driver, leading the charge. There are times he's been dominant, though that hasn't been consistent enough for him to be a finalist in this discussion.

Landeskog has been terrible in the playoffs.

Zibanejad has always played well internationally as well. People from sweden holds him higher.

Probably, although outside of Backstrom, Sweden's Forward core has been lacking since the golden days of the early 2000's with Sundin, Alfredsson, Forsberg and Naslund.

its still good with players such as bäckström, f.forsberg, nylander, lindholm...we are lacking superstars but our depth is fine

Just shows how trash Swedish forwards now are these days.

compared to what nations? usa, canada, finland, russia have better forwards than us. but no doubt we are 5th. sweden can put together 4 lines with guys who is doing 50+ points a season in nhl

1. Kainuulaisen Ritvan poika (AKA Mika Zibanejad)
2. Landeskog
3. Pettersson (had a bad start this season but stepped up under Boudreau. 100% expect a bounce back season next year)
4. Forsberg
5. Nylander

All of them are fantastic players of course.
