I do think they have a higher ceiling, of course a couple of year can change alot of thing and I might be glad saying I was wrong at that time.
They are prospect, so we don't know for sure if x or y prospect would make the Bruins better off. Totally agree with you, I'm just giving my own opinion and not fact.
I'm not one of those who wanted a goal scorer. Those type of player are extremely hot and cold and they depend highly from their teamate. They are complementary player to the guy driving the line and creating the offense. So they can't make everyone happy
To me all three of the guy I said have top 6 potential, with a max upside as a top liner (and not as a 3rd wheel). To me again, our two picks have top 9 potential with max upside as 3rd wheel on a line in the top 6. So impact 3rd liner or 2nd line filer.
And finally, I don't buy the center argument even if they really could have go that way. I just can't agree with them. Krejci and Bergeron are over 30. Spooner will never be more than a Ribeiro-Brière center at best (someone who can produce but need to be highly sheltred) so you like to have him arround but it doesn't influence decision. Acciari is a 4th liner, JFK wasn't drafted and Czarnik is far from a "can't miss".
So we don't really have space right now at center, but we could have space in 3-4 years. How many of those years will pass before prospects would have been ready? Would it have been so bad if they had to play Connor on Krejci or Bergerons wing for a couple of year à la Seguin?
Anyway, like you and Dom said, scouting is far from an exact science, we all have been wrong and right and it will be fun in the future to see wich of our guys will meet excpectation and wich will not.
Merci d'ignorer le fait que mon anglais est très mauvais
