Huh?! Roy took an 87 pt team with 10 rookies in the lineup to the finals and won. Hasek hasn't done anything like that and never will. Did you start watching the game in 98?

87 points wasn't great, but it was good enough for 7th overall in the NHL.
They also had Norris Trophy winner Larry Robinson and very soon to be Norris winner Chris Chelios. And Selke winner Bob Gainey and very soon to be Selke winner Carbonneau. One of the best defensive teams leading up to and including that year. As well as, the 8th leading scorer in Naslund and Bobby Smith.

6 rookies played a meaningful amount of games during the playoffs (not including Roy):
- bottom pairing defenseman Mike Lalor (16 GP)
- 4th liners Brian Skrudland (20 GP) and John Kordic (18 GP)
- As well as, forwards Kjell Dahlin (16 GP), Stephane Richer (16 GP) and Claude Lemieux (20 GP) whose freakish playoff heroics began immediately with 10 playoff goals.

Hasek's 98-99 Buffalo team didn't really have rookies so much as it had terrible players playing prominent roles. Players whose NHL careers ended or had their roles greatly reduced the second they left Buffalo. Possibly the closest thing to an AHL team to ever make the Stanley Cup finals.
