Thus his #1 asset is the PP 1-timer. There is no thinking involved and his shot is lights out. Hopefully he can get the thinking out of the way and just keep hitting open spaces. His passing is usually tape to tape and with his shot making the game simpler would be to his advantage.

You have to wonder how many pieces of coaching advice as to how to play the game has figured into this on ice analysis he's doing. It seemed that Dineen just let him play as seems to be his MO with all of his players. It's the main reason I continue to believe he can't fix anything wrong with his teams as he doesn't know how. He's doesn't coach but encourages and supports. In essence, he's not a very good coach. His teams fail at the basics of the game. If they have it, like a host of last season's players they overcome the constant flaws, but if they are less naturally endowed with skills and talent, like this year's team, the individual flaws, failures, miscues never get corrected. Guys like Holtz never get the instruction they need. They don'y play. they just keep trying to figure out what's wrong and try to think their way out of it on rhe ice in game. Enough guys on a team playing that way results in the same failures, miscues, too little too late on every shift over and over and the team, in spite of their work ethic, just can't make good things happen. However, his style would lead to his players liking him.

* I don't think my point is as clear as I see it in my mind, but I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

The frequent and in-your-face fandouche ads with that fandouche guy(who has the most punchable face this side of the Tkachuk brothers) smacks of desperation to me. It's like PLEASE GIVE US ALL YOUR MONEY NOW! GIVE GIVE GIVE!!!

He was cheering for sign Gaudreaunee. But he failed. He was trying to cheer for Devils, but Devils started badly. And he failed. He was trying to change the place for cheering but was joked by fans of his new potential team and failed. He decided to root for the team that signed Gaudreanee and buy his jersey. And failed. There were no jersey`s of Gaudreanee. And he bought Laine. But jackets svcks, his season tickets was bought on the sale and he can`t give it back - he failed. And he continue to walk on the games to root against Devils. And failed. It`s rangersdoggo.

They’ve given up multiple goals and great looks lately where the puck gets low and then 4 or 5 Devils are low in the zone with the eyes pointed at the puck giving 2 or 3 opponents the ability to roam free behind them.

The team needs to keep their eyes moving but it is very difficult to do with this system. The system asks any of the 3-4 players to start pressuring the puck if it goes a certain way so they end up with eyes glued to the puck to see if they’re supposed to start attacking. If they start looking behind them then they may miss the moment already in front of them.

It’s happened less often this year as the Devils pressuring has happened more quickly but the last few games it’s crept back in. I think it’s a combination of physical and mental fatigue. They need to pressure more quickly and keep their heads moving; which I think will return.

We've been spoiled with some pretty good skaters as of late so I get that but him not being a play driver + thinking the game hinders him a ton. He's a very specific fit and the fit is next to Jack.
