Oh, and here's another one:
Way off on this one. Remember what happens to the two central characters?

I can't remember if there's a death in Godspell, but back in the day I really liked that movie, regardless of the fact that I'm an atheist.
Yes, that's a good one too.
Oh, and here's another one:
Edit: No, I've been corrected, there is death.
If we're just talking non-violence and no death, I'd definitely add this one:
Cheech & Chong's Up in Smoke
But I'm pretty sure there are some guns in that one, though I don't think there's any shooting.
Added Note: There are probably lots of porn films we could add to this thread, haha.
Just double checked because I was going to put Up in Smoke. You can see the cops guns when they get pulled over in the "Isn't it on the bumper" scene.
And yeah, I thought so there too...Shoot the moon! Stacey Keech has a gun when they do the raid.
...Just finished and there are a lot of guns in UiS. At least 10. Pretty much every cop and even the la migra agent.
I said that I was quite sure there were guns, but I'm not sure if there is any shooting. I mentioned "Up In Smoke" with the idea of there not being any violence or death.
You say on that line for two whole months? Now that it's hatched maybe you should have sat on it longer. The apparent difficulty in thinking of good movies without deaths or guns can mean only one thing: deaths and guns simply make movies better. Congratulations to kihei for proving his point.

Planes, trains, and automobiles?
Or am I forgetting something
As Good as it Gets?
Hoosiers - Shooter (Dennis Hopper) comes out of his house with a shotgun and shoots it. Identify!Romantic comedies tend to be easy pickings:
-When Harry Met Sally
-You've Got Mail
-10 Things I Hate About You
-How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
-She's All That
-etc.
-Sleepless in Seattle involves a widower, and while it happens before the film starts, it's a major plot point so I'm inclined to say no.
Also sports films.:
-Moneyball
-Hoosiers
-Rudy
-etc.
Yeah, I can't think of a gun or a death in that film, unless you apply the widower rule.
I think these fit.
The Breakfast Club
Caddyshack
Chariots of Fire
Mary Poppins
Doh! Along with plastic explosives.Bill Murray has a gun for hunting the gopher.
