Positively and gladly surprised that many have mentioned him.

I also liked Adam Foote.

Scott Stevens would get kicked out of the league nowadays for those kinds of hits: leaving his feet, blindside, leading with the elbow and always targeting the head. So glad they changed the rules so dirty hits like those will never again be viewed as examples of good defending.

From current players, I would pay a lot of money to see Tarasenko-Dats duo in the winged wheel

Imagine Dats feeding Tank and his lethal wrister...

So, once again the summer is going to be a long one for us. But that doesn't mean we can't talk about hockey! I'm looking forward to see the players you pick! If you can find a good video about the player you choose that would be nice!

I'm going to start with Pavel Bure.

At 1:00, check-out the move on Lidström.

BTW, did you know that Bure was close to be a Red Wing?

As an opposing player I hate him, but I actually really like Corey Perry. It's just funny to watch him enjoy being the heel while actually being really good.

If only Pavel Bure highlights were in HD

Kook, I'm a big Perry and Getzlaf fan myself. It's funny to me that everyone hates them

Rob Blake was a ferocious open-ice hitter and didn't consistently target the head like Stevens did. Rewatching some of these hits makes me sick to my stomach. That's not hockey. It's attempted murder.

I love his game. I see nothing wrong there. Clean hits.
Same with Kronwall. He only left his feet, but the hits were gorgeous.

That is the only guy I couldn't bring myself to even root for in a Wings jersey. Was basically like I hope everyone else scores and they leave him stapled to the bench. I hated Wendel Clark.

Most people don't know this, but he's cousins with Joe Kocur and Barry Melrose. All of whom played for the Wings. Interesting.

Darius kasparitus - great pest and loved those hip checks.

Was also a big fan of Mathew Barnaby until we have all a giant bag he is.

As far as high end skill players probably sakic or kurri. Kinda grossed out by how many have said floppa...**** that guy.

Current: Iginla, Nash, Carter, Kopitar, Tarasenko, Benn, Giroux.

Quite a few players in todays game that I would love to see here in the D. Wishful thinking...

All-Time....I like everything about Super Mario...Oh you can add Jagr to the list above as well...since he is playing still :D

Johnny Gaudreau currently. Having him would ease the pain of losing Datsyuk considerably.

Forsberg historically.

Klingberg right now. That guy's skating is beautiful. He walks the blue line like Lidstrom.

Teemu Selanne; the guy is an absolute legend.

Also Jason Spezza, a player I met growing up in Windsor back when he was playing juniors there.
