Very curious as to why Dawkins is on the list ahead of McNabb.

I should have put him on the other list, I missed that. I get that he led the Eagles to all those NFC Championships and everything and I didn't hate on him like many did, but I just think Dawkins was a better player individually. 9 pro bowls vs 6. 4 all pro vs 0. In the NFL Hall of Fame. One of the best leaders of any athlete in Philly as well.

Would you switch the two?

Sorry. I was thinking of Westbrook instead of Dawkins. No I wouldn't switch.

Utley was a great player. But I'm not sure he belongs with those other names.

Not at all. Two different cities. The OP clearly asks for cities. Just like Brodeur and Leetch shouldn't be mentioned together. Two different cities.
LOL those are different States
NYC is in New York
Brodeur played in New Jersey

and if you are being that petty about cities. Magic Johnson and Kareem played for the Lakers while they played in Inglewood. Inglewood is a different city than Los Angeles.

All part of the NY Metropolitan area. And I knew you would bring up the Inglewood thing. So a second list can be made for Inglewood that consists of 99, Magic, Kareem, Wilt, West, Baylor, and so forth.

Yeah, I felt like he was borderline and 10th on the list but I think he was the best player and leader for many years and won the Championship with them in 08. He is a typical, hard working, blue collar philly athlete that was also very skilled.

I assume your list isn't in any particular order. Otherwise, I would love to know how Frank Thomas is above Walter Payton.

I think 2-3-4 could easily be flipped around.
I do put Thomas on the same level as Sayers and Payton. The guy was unbelievable.

I clipped this from the Hall of Fame site:

No other man in baseball history has strung together seven straight seasons of 20-plus homers, 100 RBI, 100 walks and a .300 average. Not Ruth, not Gehrig, not Williams.

He may not have gotten the recognition because he played for the White Sox but in my opinion Frank Thomas is one of the greatest baseball players who ever lived.

For all major sports they have been lucky enough to have. I hit "post" and then realized this is the hockey section, so move it if you like, Mods.

For Toronto, I say.....

1. Roberto Alomar
2. Dave Keon
3. Joe Carter
4. Vince Carter
5. Kawhi Leonard
6. Doug Gilmour
7. Mats Sundin
8. Darryl Sittler
9. Roy Halladay
10. Wendel Clark

How about YOUR city?

There are probably about 4 or 5 more Blue Jays that were better than Wendel Clark.

Also Leonard at 5th for his short stint is quite a bit less than guys like Tim Horton, Apps Senior and Ted Kennedy just off the top of my head.

Ned Hanlon
Lionel Conacher
Marilyn Bell
Joe Theissman
George Chuvalo
Jim Corrigal
Toller Cranston
Borje Salming
Ben Johnson?
Doug Flutie
Bianca Andreescu

I don't know how we compare apples and oranges.

Jeter ahead of Mo, Messier way too low. 94 was massive for this city. So many of these guys were before my time so idk.
