Saw this get started in the Kitchener and SSM threads so figured we should make a thread dedicated to your all-time teams from each OHL team.

Post your all-time team for your favorite OHL team and let's have some good discussion. To start I'll do a combined all-time team from the OHL teams I've watched (Mississauga St Michael's Majors and the Steelheads).

Brace - Cizikas- Smith-Pelly
Cianfrone - M. McLeod - Nylander
Burnside - Flick - Shugg
Wise - Mayer - Wallen

Percy - Gaunce
Carrick - DeMelo
LeBlanc - Flemming
Cord

Martin
Anderson

http://overtimesportsnation.com/who-is-on-your-all-time-kitchener-rangers-team/

i added a little info but here is mine. It's tough because there are some pretty notable omissions but i really like the balance I have

Wow that Otters team is pretty good!

Same with the Rangers!

Here's mine for Kitchener.....

Just naming forwards regardless of position and in no particular order......
Bill Barber, Jeff Larmer, Brian Bellows,
Mike Richards, Skinner, Landeskog,
John Tucker, Steve Rice and Walt Tkachuk
Alternate: Sandy Fitzpatrick, *Paul Reinhart

Mayhem Line: Robbie Nichols, Mike Moher and Doug Sulliman

Defence: *Paul Reinhart, Scott Stevens, Al MacInnis, Dave Shaw, Larry Robinson and Paul Coffey on D

Goalies: Gibson and Don Edwards

Coach: Joe Crozier

* Paul Reinhart was an OHL allstar one year on defence and the next an allstar at forward therefore have him in both postions

Four Hall of Fame Defencemen but I believe it would have been 5 if Reinhart never suffered a back injury in his late twenties.

Solid team hockeye. Only argument I'd make is I think Willy deserves to be on there. As much flak as fans have given him the past two seasons (including myself), he is the franchise leader in wins, and is on pace this season to set franchise records in GAA and SV %.

I strongly considered him. Tried to mix different eras as well. Just hard to get over last year with inconsistencies. But beyond that he has been good and right now more than just stats he fundamentally looks like a top goalie. Aceti I had to go with given the championship goalie and Disher I thought played on some just average teams but stole some games. Wouldn't mind flopping Willy and Disher. He would have been my 4th goalie if I had kept going.

Shalla-Pyatt-Sadowy
Combs-McDonough-Mursak
Chappell-Skellet-Dix

Brodie-Crawford
Walch-McNeil
Comrie-Bissonette

I put Dix on there just for the entertainment value. In those first few years when we never won games, he kept it fun for the fans by just kicking the crap out of anyone. He would never last today with the fight limit. He a linesman now.

Nice list....i assume Reg Thomas had to be close to making the team? But who do you take off? Selection of the players isn't hard it's who you don't select!

Nice list! Thanks for updating mine, yours looks much better. I was only around when the Hunter began so that is why mine lineup looks slightly different ;)

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!

I would add Lodge and Kitsyn in there as well

I considered it, both were really only around for 1/2 a season. I tried sticking to guys who contributed over a number of seasons. Good picks though!

Maybe it's the New Jersey bias in me but would former Whalers fans not have Wedgewood over Ned? I still remember his like 75 save playoff game. M

I had a tough time choosing the goalies, and went with Ned over Wedgewood as I just think he was technically an overall better tender when both played at this level. I loved Wedgewood when he played here, though, and that playoff game you mentioned versus the mighty Spitfires team is the best single game performance I have ever seen from a goalie in the OHL. It was amazing to witness.

Well the Storm released a top 25 alumni for this seasons 25th anniversary, so a team probably looks something similar.

Jeff O'Neill - Marty St. Pierre - Todd Bertuzzi
Dustin Brown - Robby Fabbri - Ryan Callahan - This line would be a pain to play against.
Dan Paille - Peter Holland - Taylor Beck
Brock McGinn - Sylvain Cloutier - Scott Kosmachuk

HM goes to Jeff Bes, who is the Storm's all time leader in PPG. Also getting an HM is Kerby Rychel, wasn't here long, but scored a couple of the biggest goals for this team during his tenure.

Kevin Mitchell - Drew Doughty
Dan Girardi - Kevin Dallman
Matt Finn - Fedor Tyutin

HM goes to Chris Hajt and Zach Leslie.

Tom McCollum
Craig Anderson

HM goes to Chris Madden.

To try to complement the Saginaw Spirit list, here is mine for the franchise’s immediately preceding 20 years, aka North Bay Centennials. Admittedly a number of the names don’t have quite the brand recognition of some of the other teams. Nevertheless, these players provided lots of excitement and entertainment over the years.
I went with 2, 6 and 12 along with a bunch of honourable mentions. In the forward group the H.M.s generally played here for a brief period of time but made quite an impact.

G
Sandy Allan
Alex Auld
HM: Scott Roche

D
Derian Hatcher Kevin Hatcher
Drake Berehowsky Mike Burman
Greg Labenski Bill Houlder
HM: Adam Burt Kevin Vescio Brad Brown

F
Vitali Yachmenev Lee Jinman Keith Osborne
Darren Turcotte Nick Kypreos Derek Switzer
Len Soccio John Spoltore Bill Lang
Dave McLlwain Jeff Shevalier Rob DeGagne
HM:
Jason Firth (366 career pts., 97 in 53 games here); Trevor Gallant (440 career points, 120 in 76 here); John Purves (290 career points, 86 in 42 + 26 in 12 playoff games here); Andrew McBain (164 career, 120 in 67 here); Trevor Halverson (155 career, 59G + 36A = 95 in 64g 1 season); Jason Campeau (scored OT winner 1994 Cup final vs. Det.)

It is really tough to narrow down a full lineup for the Ottawa 67's because we had so many quality Junior players that went on to have great NHL careers but we also had a lot of great junior players that never went to the NHL. But, here goes:

Forward:
Peter Lee - CHL Player of the year 75-76
Bobby Smith - CHL Player of the Year 77-78
Alyn McCauley - CHL Player of the Year 97-98
Corey Locke - CHL Player of the Year 02-03
Jim Fox - OHL Most Outstanding Player 79-80
Andrew Cassels - OHL Most Outstanding Player 87-88
Logan Couture
Sean Monahan
Michael Peca
Gary Roberts
Randy Cunneyworth
Tyler Toffoli

Defense:
Brian Campbell - CHL Player of the Year 98-99
Dennis Potvin - NHL Hall of Fame
Brad Shaw - OHL Most Outstanding Defenseman 83-84
Doug Wilson - 8 time NHL All Star
Ian Turnbull
Doug Crossman

Goaltender:
Danny Battochio
Levente Szuper
Petr Mrazek

Great list, crazy how Matt Foy, Travis Konecny, and Tyler Cuma can't make it in with the history in front of them. Nobody ahead of them could really be dropped. Also I'd have Lance Galbraith on the team, just because.

...who would the coach be?

I'll give this a shot for Windsor.

Forwards (lines and positions irrelevant):

Sarno - Bowler - Godden
Ott - Hall - Henrique
JMartin - Findlay - Khokhlachev
Greenop - Janssen - Roche (you need that one really solid grind line)

Defencemen:

Ellis - DJ Smith
Gleason - Jovanovski
Bowman - MMartin

Goaltenders:

Leighton - Engelage

Very impressive list, but honourable mention for goal I would have Bunny Larouque.
