It's no different than challenging for an illegal stick and getting a 2:00 minor if your wrong.Losing your timeout isn't enough?

Enough with this stupid replay-minigame ****.
Seasons are starting to hinge on procedural details that have nothing to do with playing hockey.
I like this. Truly egregious calls can get reviewed still and borderline nonsense will be let go so the game doesn't get bogged down.
What happens if the ref gets the call wrong even on review?

NHL needs to stay the F away from the replay madness, i.e. trying to get every stinkin call correct.
Right now the NFL has completely screwed their product. There are a lot of people starting to watch hockey now as a result, as it's really the only game out there with lots of action for your time spent watching. But wait, the NHL has caught the bug and they're gonna get everything perfect.
Just sit tight fans, and let's have the drama unfold with commercials as we have the outcome of the game hinge on the call. It's idiotic and I pray the NHL doesn't go that route any further than they already have.
So penalties for missed challenges? Sure, because teams won't challenge everything and the game will be faster as a result. But getting rid of it altogether is even better.
Nah. Unless they allow teams a reasonable amount of time to watch the multiple angles of replays before deciding to risk a minor on a challenge.
Doesn't seem like a particularly clever idea otherwise and will slow the game down even more if they do allow time to assess.
If you need multiple angles the play was probably too close to contest anyway. I think this is great. Will probably nix 80 to 90% of the stupid was his skate a millimeter off the ice crap.
So offsides and goalie interfence have nothing to do with hockey?
