Another Sabres fan here to answer. Kane has been great for us so far, on and off the ice. The change of scenery probably helped him a lot, as did feeling wanted for a change. He plays hard and does exactly what was advertised. The only complaint that we've had was that he didn't fit well on Eichel's line but other than that we like him a lot.

Also on selfish gangsta crap, the most notable things he's done off-ice so far were I think taking 60 kids out or something like that and renting a helicopter to take his teammates to a Blue Jays game. So far so good.

I think its a general rule if you are more than 7 points out of playoffs by american thanksgiving theres a 95% chance you dont make playoffs. So the fact were are only 5 points out (potentially 3) in December is amazing. Just speaks to how bad division is

Also did this with an injured top 6 (no mcdavid or Eberle at same time) and with losing more games we shoulda won than winning more games we should have lost

If Eberle and RNH can catch fire and Nilsson can keep it up, we may still be in the hunt in January when McDavid rises from the dead (assuming Anahiem doesnt pull away)
