Dammit, I forgot Cogliano also played for the Stars. That's another ex-Oiler "free goal" coupon this afternoon.

I'm sure coaches see things differently than fans.
Koski was great vs ANA but got taken off for Smith vs SJ who let in 6.
Starting Smith again vs COL made no sense.

Gagner produced but then got scratched. His scratching is more puzzling than Haas scratching to me.

The ofcourse I liked Jurco more than anyone else in our bottom 6. She goesss!!!

He stood on his head in the Avs Flames series, his team just sucked. So I bet it did him some good to be part of a huge win over them.
Not really an issue.

You sure seem to have studied holes in Gagner's game.
Fact is that he is on par with all the other trash on this team. Chiasson is not better than Gagner, neither are Granlund, Nygaard, Haas, Khaira, Russell etc other than PK. Not sure why singling him out would accomplish.

The PK has been one of the biggest reasons for the teams improvement this season. You’re not sure why the one bottom six forward who cannot PK, and is actually terrible defensively, would accomplish?

Chiasson scored 20 goals last season in the NHL. Gagner scored less and spent most of his season being a PP specialist in the AHL. He’s a better hockey player right now.

maybe think about that for a second.

Looking at the stars record over the last 10, this is likely going to be a low scoring and tough game. Let's hope the boyz start off with the same energy as the last game.

I'm thinking with Persson, at the beginning of the season Tippett probably let him know right away that he was only going to fill in for Larsson during his injury. And that near the end of Lars recovery he probably wanted Persson to watch games from the PB before going down to the AHL to work on his game. They also need to give Jones a chance to see what he's got and with Larsson return imminent, this was the best time to do so. If this is the case, and the coach has been open with these guys, then I have no issues with him not playing. When healthy, Lars comes back in for Jones, Jones back to the AHL with Persson and Manning in the PB. I'd prefer Lars be on the bottom pair with either Russell or Jones and Persson with Klef, but that's not going to happen.

Hoping for a good afternoon tilt.

3-2 Oilers!

Jeez, just send Persson down at this point. Why keep him on the bench?

Sure, but after I have got through 23 bottles of beer I have, then what? Don’t have anything else now with me.
