One thing that I've always said about Lowe, and it seems to hold true for everyone he hires, is that they think they are smarter than everyone. Lowe doesnt bother interviewing GM candidates, just hires MacT. MacT hires a rookie HC. We see it every year at the draft table with the endless reaching. The braintrust of this franchise really does think it has a leg up on everyone else when it comes to intelligence. I will bet anything that if you ask Eakins what is wrong with his system, he'd say that the players have to learn it; takes time cuz its advanced.
