We match up well vs the East, 16-2 Oil.

Marincin x 14
Ference finishes -2

Ok, seriously 4-2 Oil - we play TB/WSH/PIT with their own game. Have to win again, then defeat Carolina. Then we are out of the woods.

As I have ovechkin on my fantasy team and I'm losin this week need some points from him... But still wanna win

5-3 Oilers
(Hall, Yak x2, Draisaitl, Eberle) (hall gets 3 points)
Ovechkin gets a hat trick (2 on the power play), 8 shots, 5 hits

:)

I've turned down tickets to a few games already, not missing Ovie though. Hoping for a barn burner. 6-5 Oil with the double Russian hatty:

Yak (3), Nuge, Perron, Hall

Ovie (3), Fehr, Green

Remember that Caps are unbeaten in regulation so far, scored 6 goals on SJS, beat the Oil twice last year, outscoring 8-3, and under Trotz who at one time had an unbeaten streak that lasted years vs the Oilers.

Besides my doubting Thomas alter ego, 4-3 Oil OT on the PP
Hedricks and Gordon feast on former team (2 pts each)

The win causes the Oilers to be overconfident and think they don't have to work as hard. 4-2 Caps.

I think someone needs a Marxism refresher.

5-2 Caps. We'll take an early lead, but the WSH D is going to pick us apart and expose us. Too many puckmovers on their backend. We're going to give up a lot of chances. If we win, it's because of a lopsided goaltending performance.

I don't know if lightning strikes twice. Capitalists are unlikely to turn their nose at 2 pts. easy profit.

This is free bingo spot on the calendar usually and an Oiler team that on most nights isn't even aware of who is on the ice and that can't stop Mason Raymond or Adam Smith from scoring a hat trick..

Petit bourgeois sentiments aside we are the NHL draft socialist side with struggling hands forever outstretched in dire need and the Washington Capitals are the Russian backed free enterprise backed oddly enough by Barry Trotzky..

We are the unwashed. Remember that..

I am often amazed at how bad the Oilers have been. In a lot of cases I look at the lineup cards in the game day threads and think we have a better roster than the other team.

There was all sorts of speculation and worry about Trotz and Ovy but hasn't been much on that front since the season began.

In your closet
Washington's forward depth always looks so bad on paper but I know from watching them that it actually isn't.

It's a shame we can't swap dates with this game and Carolina because man the team needs another win bad.

Don't get why Eakins can't make the lines how they should be....

Hall-RNH-Ebs
Perron-Drai-Yak
Pouliot-Arco-Purcell
Hendricks-Gordon-Joensuu

Pouliot and Purcell are third line players and that line would be a good O-zone possession line.

Spreading out our offence is a bad idea imo. (especially for Perron right now, Eakins needs to get him going. Maybe even switching him and Hall for a bit)

My senses tell me that we will see another close, competitive game tonight.
Oil fight hard, but could find themselves getting into penalty trouble.

I am predicting a 4-3 victory tonight for the Oilers. :handclap:

Oil:
Hall
Nuge
Drai
Yak

Caps:
Ward
Ovi (x2 pp goals)

I'm concerned as well that a 2nd line of Pouliot, Arco, Yak, has no natural puck handlers. Hows that supposed to work? Puck and crazy glue? These are like random permutation assignments.
