Watch 10 or 12 of his games from last season. Jets can’t fix that. I am a Jets fan BTW.

Pionk does have a chance to succeed in Winnipeg and develop properly playing sheltered minutes. Trouba has his warts too, and can be more noticeable at 8 million a season for 7 years. Hopefully not though.
Worst case scenario in Winnipeg is they move on in 2 years.

Looks more like a drunken stumble than deft tap dancing. If he wanted to clear cap space, there were a lot better options, with sweetener if necessary. The Jets are not without good futures.

No comment about on-ice, but if he can be salvaged as an NHL defenseman, Buff and JoMo are the guys to do it.
Buff made an AHL defenseman look good enough to sign for 3.9 in Montreal.

Chiarot was a defensive dman though, at least the fit was there to play with Buff.

If Pionk ends up with Buff that pair will be bad defensively, but i doubt they play together since both are righties.

We're buying out Kulikov likely. Gives us more than enough to sign Copp, Laine and Connor.

I thought so before the summer but not anymore. Not after Chevy said he feels comfortable with Kuli in the top 4 as he's done it before.

These negotiations could go on for a while.

Trouba doesn’t seem to be the best defensively based on stuff like this, just isn’t his game. He’s still 6X the entry denier Pionk is though and that’s not even to mention that he is literally in another league with all other aspects of his game.

Like even at Trouba’s worst part, he’s still much better than Pionk

Shitting on Pionk has become a favorite past time activity for many Rangers fans, which is sad, but this feels and probably is too much.

1.5M/year would've been my estimate. Pionk hasn't shown much except good skating and offensive upside.
