Glad Scheif was willing to go 8 years, this buys 4 UFA years I believe and we will have Scheifele locked up until he is 31, pretty much exactly the time you want to let a player move on.

Zero doubt that Scheifele will continue to be at least a top 6 forward throughout this deal, he has never taken a step back and has improved quite a bit every single year. I don't think 35 goals 75 points along with great twoway play is unrealistic for Scheifele
