I'm a little confussed... Venues over 1000 are 50% but 5000 to 1000 are capped at 500, so if you have 5001 capacity you are back to 50% and can have 2500 but 4999 is limited to 500?
Why not just say venues over 1000 are capped at 500? Who does 50% apply to? Did he mean venues under 1000 are 50%?

That would be covered by just saying 50% though... It's got to apply to venues bigger than 1000 to be a cap above and beyond the 50%.
I don't get what he was trying to say.

Oh, so 50% doesn't apply until you hit 1000? Gotcha, now I see it. That's just as weird mind you, but at least now I get what the intent is.
Go right ahead and cram 500 people into that 500 person venue and as soon as you get past that number we got to limit things...

Based on my read of that, TSN is only broadcasting the 2 pre-tournament games in Edmonton. So no TV coverage of the 3 other games. However, in the article announcing the changes, I read that Hockey Canada is thrilled.

Man, I'm so, so excited for Sanderson and Greig. I feel any cup run we will have soon will be with big contribution by them two.
Also expecting big showing from Jarventie.

If you had known about the NHL shutdown (and who knows how quickly they do come back) would you have had Jimmy play in this WJHC?
I was certainly against it when I thought there was a normal NHL schedule but now I sort of wish we had let him go...would be interesting to see how he would fare this year.

Absolutely not, he put up one of the best performances in WJC history last year. Absolutely no reason to send him again. He’s proved and then some.
Looking forward to seeing that Power Zellweger pair.
I have to admit I am really curious to see what sort of impact Bedard has and if he can force his way up the lineup...he seems to have that extra, "IT" factor to his game that the true greats possess.
Also hoping Greig can find a balance between being a nuisance and showing his skill.
Heck I am just really excited to see this is going to take place and have high hopes for all of our kids here.
