No, but he played fine. Hit the bar against England, set up the equalizer vs. Slovenia and was fantastic against Algeria. Just because he didn't score doesn't mean he didn't play well.

I guess Spain and Germany are what they used to be then, if we're comparing goals vs. them to goals vs. Poland and Nigeria.

Do you have the advanced stats to back those assertions up?

The irony of CMP saying somebody sucks against good competition because they didn't score goals isn't lost on anyone is it?

After that result, the odds of England-Italy being a dull 0-0 draw just went up 95%.

I lol'd but sadly that's about as true a statement as one can make. This World Cup has been like the polar opposite of 2010, so of course England-Italy would be the game to ruin that.
