With hindsight, do you sign Briere again?

And at the time, we didn't have 2 better centers. Had one more year occured before Briere hit UFA, maybe we don't sign him. Maybe our 2 other centers don't breakout that year if Briere isn't here.

I'm not saying I wouldn't have signed him at the time, I don't have a problem with the real life signing because we didn't know what Richards would become. But since we know, I wouldn't have done it.

EDIT: This is also assuming the used the money properly, which we know they probably wouldn't have. As much as people hate on Briere he was probably the best choice the team was going to make as far as a big free agent signing.
