Real can certainly offer much higher wages & greater resources than Leipzig if they're serious about making a run at him & LFC doesn't convince him to stay.

He is short, pacey, and technically gifted. I have not seen too much of him but from all accounts, he is good on the ball and was real raw talent.
Plays usually as a RW, however, I read that Arsenal tried him at CM and RB as well.

Nothing specific, mostly just journalists making the obvious connection. He seems like a "Moyes" player - ball winner, effort guy, etc. With West Ham's desperation for defenders right now and just generally the state of the team/arc of the project, I think he'd be a good buy. Young enough to play a role for a while and if it's really the £10M rumored, all the better.
