Speculation: Winnipeg Jets to get 3rd Jersey next season - with a new logo

I hope we get a jersey like Atlanta's with Winnipeg spelled out along one arm so Wheeler can say, "I wear my heart on my sleeve".

I would love it if our 2 heritage classic jerseys became our official home & away jerseys. In my view, they are the nicest 2 jerseys that the Jets 2.0 have so far (and one is white, the other is blue... so it works!).

Sweet! This was the right choice by True North as it's a replica of the blue jerseys used in the mid-70's and is the proper match to the white Heritage Classic jerseys. I would have liked the helmets to be red to also match those used in the 70's but other than that I couldn't be happier.

So would I, but, we can't have everything!

The Jets will don the jerseys for the first time on Oct. 26 when they take on the Calgary Flames in the marquee game at Mosiac Stadium in Regina.

The Jets will then wear them twice more during the regular season, both at home, on Dec. 11 vs. the Dallas Stars and Feb. 11 vs. the New York Rangers.

I have to correct myself regarding the red helmets used by the Jets in the WHA. I did some further research and found that they only used the red helmets for one season - 1977/78. That was the year that they introduced the white shoulder yoke on their blue jerseys. Maybe they thought the red helmets looked better in that situation. In regards to yesterday's unveiling of the blue Heritage Classic uniforms, I guess they did the right thing by having blue helmets to authenticate the overall uniform used during the 1975-76 season when the Jets won their first Avco Cup.

Ordered my Blue Heritage Classic Jerseys at Jets Gear.

I was told they should be available around September 25.

Customized jerseys take 4 to 6 weeks to produce and should be ready before the Heritage Classic.
