He had a shift in the 1st period where he won a foot race to a puck in the corner that he had no business winning and came away with the puck.

And the play that he just made from Z to put the puck back in front of the net is the type of chance-creating move we need more of instead of this constant perimeter play. Unfortunately, 90% of the time our D are immune to the offensive zone even though we have possession on the cycle.

Not really. It's just that 90% of the time the puck touches Nyquist's stick it doesn't stay in the Wings possession, and Z has also been weaker lately. Imo lines need a changeup. I'd put Mantha with AA and Nielsen now that Vanek is down.
