Why should he be not giving them, if that's the demand to get a player for contract?

Wings are no different from other teams, every teams have NTCs and NMCs here and there.

Every GM does give players NTC's and NMC's. Not every GM would give a player like Sammy 2 years at $3M per AND and a NTC, as if that deal had to be sufficiently sweetened before Sammy signed.

Some GMS pay the extra dough and try to avoid NMCs where possible.

Personally, I'd pay the extra money to have the flexibility. It's important in the cap era to be able to switch gears, and you can't do that when 50 percent of your roster has an NMC

Holland probably knows he doesn't really do trades, so a NMC/NTC doesn't mean anything to him, so if he could lower the caphit with 500k to include a NMC/NTC, he will do it wihtout blinking twice.

You'd think that the players and their agents would look at Holland's extreme reluctance to trade guys and just pass on the NTC to take the higher salary, knowing there's a great chance they'd never be traded anyway.

He sure has a lot of options of players to play with.

Nyquist-Weiss-Alfredsson would be a damn formidable line, imo.

It could be.
But those guys also combined for what? 30 points last year? And that line would be small and soft as hell.

You know that D-Z were be separated at some point, and things could get interesting.

If Helm is playing
Bertuzzi Datsyuk Tatar
Franzen Zetterberg Alfredsson
Nyquist Weiss Andersson
Miller Helm Tootoo

This team is going to need Bertuzzi if they don't sign anyone else

This team doesn't need bertuzzi. He missed most of all last season and most of the playoffs

I'm not even a big Bertuzzi fan, but they could definitely use his size if he's healthy. As it stands now, this team is really small.
