Here's confirmation of Seider not attending because he's already earned a roster spot:

Atlantic Notes: Cozens, Seider, Sogaard

The Detroit Red Wings are looking forward to prodigious defenseman Moritz Seider developing into a leader for their club in the future. Yet, he was nowhere to be found on the team’s roster for the upcoming Traverse City Prospects Tournament.

However, Red Wings Director of Player Development Shawn Horcoff tells The Athletic’s Max Bultman that this is actually an endorsement of Seider’s position in the organization rather than an indictment. Although Seider has yet to see any NHL action, Detroit is so confident in his ability to make the roster this season that they did not feel they needed to use a roster spot on him in the development tournament.

“With Moritz, he’s played two years of pro now – he spent a full year in Grand Rapids, spent a full year over in Europe playing,” Horcoff explained. “Frankly, there’s some younger players that we wanted to see on the (Traverse City Tournament) roster and we just wanted to make sure that Mo was ready to go for main camp.”

Fear not, Wings fans; the team clearly has no concerns about their top prospect stepping into the NHL lineup and making an impact this year.

Horcoff is wrong, Seider is already 3-year pro. 1 year before draft at Mannheim. :D

1 year at DEL
1 year at AHL
1 year at SHL

That's why he is so damn matured.

Oh then "they" would be wrong though the KHL probably is #2 so the SHL would likely fall to #4. Still a good league but light years from the NHL both in style of play and quality.
Simply google best hockey leagues in the world. SHL will be ranked 5th behind Liiga.
NHL
KHL
AHL
Liiga
SHL

I know people want to believe that Seider was the greatest of the great but that was not the case. He was one of the best of the pretty good.

SHL has never been ranked below the SM Liiga. The Swedish league is way better than the Finnish league, if you think otherwise you are just uninformed.

The SHL has also signed a new TV deal which has made the league wealthier, and more even than ever before. At least 9 teams will compete for the win this season. All teams are great and no real favourite.

I think the most important factor is that he's not competing against anyone on that prospect tournament roster. There's no valuable data to be added there.
Veleno, Berggren and Raymond are all competing with eachother so there's value in being able to see them at this level.

Super excited for the Prospect Camp, this week. Really just excited to see a more normal season and all the different things happen again.
