Who is the acquired rookie you wrote about
If it's Costanzo, he is not a rookie as he played 17 games in goal for Niagara last yr.
I am sure he is glad he still isn't there still, especially since Niagara got beat today by Sudbury 13-2 .
In other news,I put together goals scored by the D and F for all the teams as of today.
For example Windsor now has scored 115 goals for 3rd overall
However Windsor's forwards have scored 101 goals and their D has scored 14
The goals by the forwards is highest in the league tied with Flint though Windsor has 2 games in hand and the goals by the D is 9th
Here is the rest of the league

Flint-118- the D has 17,F=101
Ottawa-117-D has 25,F= 92
NBay- 108-D has 13,F=95
SAG- 105-D has 34,F=71
Owen Sd-100-D has 7,F=93
Sudbury-97-D has 21,F=76
London-97- D had 27,F=70
Sarnia-95- D has 11,F= 84
Erie - 89- D has 22,F= 67
Gue - 88-D has 15,F= 73
Miss- 87- D has 11,F=76
Peter -87- D has 7, F= 80
Kitch- 81-D has 6, F= 75
Niagara-81 D has 10,F=71
King- 81 D has 7,F= 74
Barrie- 78-D has 16,F= 62
Ham- 78- D has 17,F= 61
SOO - 77- D has 12,F= 65
Osh- 76- D has 11,F= 65

Should note these stats include traded players ie Othmann with Flint,Bloom with Saginaw, etc.

Somewhere
Even tho Ott and Windsor have scored pretty much the same amount, Ottawa still has allowed about 30 goals less.

As for rookies i’ve seen if you haven’t played in 1/4 of team games and are 17 or under you are still considered a rookie and Costanzo played in exactly 1/4 of team games last year.

Im not sure why some of you respond to a certain poster on here, yes he’s maddening but just ignore him.
Team is confusing to me, i am officially on the fence of buy sell lol. I didnt expect 3 w’s! Well done guys!! This D needs upgrades, badly! The inability to keep the slot clear and clear the zone is once again hurting this team, its been a yearly thing its time to lay the blame at a coaches feet. I firmly believe cleaning those areas up and thus reducing giveaways takes a number of goals off the board!! No you cant clean it up entirely but it needs to be a focus. Really like what im seeing from young core. Not sure selling helps much, not much coming back im afraid. Lets hope Dallas sends J to WJ’s then back here!!

I would like the team to strength itself at the deadline. Looking to the future, I see Saginaw being very dominent over the next 2 years. For the Spits, this year is our best shot then retool for 2025 - 2026, when Spellacy, Greentree and Cristoforo are 19.

long time reader, first time poster.

just wanted to come on and say that I commend all of the gentlemen whom were at practice today during the medical emergency. it is always scary to see someone's life on the line, and its especially scary when that someone is a coach/mentor/friend. from what I gather, the boys really banded together during and after the situation, so no matter what you think of them as players, their actions today speak volumes about their character.

best wishes to andy delmore and his family - and thank f*** for AEDs.

Delmore released a statement on Twitter: He's stable and awaiting test results. He thanked everyone for their efforts and thoughts today.
Hopefully he will be on the mend soon. I had heard he may have had a heart attack. Hopefully he will have a speedy recovery! Looking forward to seeing him back behind the bench again soon.

there are 2/3 of them you should just let rant and not flood the boards with the same snarky and snippy replies.

Should be interesting when Ottawa plays here Thursday night
Windsor is 8-1-0-0 vs the East, while Ottawa is 6-1-0-0 against the West.
While there has been a bit of break in the schedule took the time as we just past the 1/3 third part of the season thought we would take a look at how our 16 year olds 3 of them,Christoforo, Greentree and Spellacy stack up against the rest of the conference and league as well in terms of production.
Think most should be pleased with what I discovered with some digging.
Now what I did is I went through every teams draft list for 2022 and counted up the total points for each player and team.
Only drafted 15 or 16 year olds by original teams so Dickinson drafted by NF,and traded to London doesn't count.
What I did find was Saginaw who had 2 picks in the 1st- Misa#1 overall and Zayne Parekh-19th,plus 3 other 16 year olds who have played at least 1 game, finished 1st not only in West but the league as well with 43 points on 21G,22A
Windsor despite picking 22nd in the 1st,34th in the 2nd,and 62nd in the third has 32 points,12G,20, for 2nd in the conference and also 2nd in the league.
Christoforo who was drafted in the 1st,leads all dmen for his age with 16 points
Greentree who was drafted in the 2nd at 34th is 2nd in goals with 6 for players drafted in the 2nd,points as well only winger Kevin He drafted by NF,25th has more 8G,4A points and goals.
Finally AJ Spellacy drafted 62nd in the 3rd,2nd last pick ,leads all drafted players in the 3rd with goals and assists 4 of each.
Some pretty good drafting by Bowler I would say.
Listed below is both conferences.
Should note 4 teams in the league are using or have used 16 year old goalies.
Erie,Guelph, Owen Sound and Mississauga

i remember years back you said points were not as important as game wining goals because game winning goals talk about the player usage, ohltg aggreed.

are we moving off of that standard?

Wyatt Johnston with 3 goals and 1 assist in the last week. Now up to 7 goals and 3 assists for a total of 10 points. On pace for 30 points as a rookie.
I think the last glimmer of hope was just extinguished! Good luck to him in his professional career!

Shame.

One of The best individual seasons in the history of the Spitfires - he’s going to be one hell of an NHLer. I wonder how high he would have gone if the Covid OHL season didn’t exist?

It‘s going to be a “what if” talked about here for years.
