Ok, I was pretty sure you were just some random that popped up one day....

But who the F can keep up with name changes.....even worse I usually remember most people by their Avi....and very few stick to the one Avi policy....

KingLB = King Lukewarm Blanket.

Fun tip--you can hover people's names and see their past :nod:

^ Lets be honest, the only reason he signed here is because no other team was willing to pay for a player coming off several concussions.

Dean took a risk on him (twice) and it paid off handsomely twice.

Thanks for helping us win the Cup Willie!

I believe SJ and Washington were the other two teams interested in the summer of 2010. I think they were both offering a 1 year deal at a higher salary for that year, where the Kings offered 2 years and more total money. The Kings weren't the better team than either at the time, but the security of 2 years is what put them over the top.

Worked out for the Kings and Mitchell better than both sides could've hoped for.

Would rather have Mitchell than Greene, but what can you do. Guessing Mitchell wanted more $$.
I will miss mitchell. Wish him the best

But love did not keep them together. They split up. Was a ****ing hoax. I blame Neil Sedaka.

You should delete that post before Face Wash sees it and you ruin his whole month.
I was hiding that info from him

I'll miss Mitchell's leadership, but age was catching up to him this season. Even though his efforts were enough to help win the Cup, it was uneven more than I'd like. Now is no better time to transition in our touted LHD prospects. We couldn't continue to trot out both Regehr and Mitchell onto the ice at their respective ages for much longer and expect to compete at the highest level. This ain't a Chris Chelios situation. Shuttle McNabb (or even Forbort eventually) in and out of the lineup until he earns a permanent spot.

I absolutely trust or scouts evaluations of defensemen and our organization's player development. Sutter kept trotting out Muzzin in spite of many of us *****ing and his belief paid off big time. Remember the crying over keeping Muzzin rather than Hickey? This run started with a balance of veteran savvy and unbridled youth on the blue-line. We successfully transitioned out Scuderi for Muzzin and Jake was huge this year. Can you imagine how bad things would've been with declining Scuderi still here rather than Jake partnering with Drew? Now, all the Kings best defenders are mid-20s. That's the right kind of secession plan.
