I think they want him to lead the Marlies while the top prospects are with the Leafs. Him, Lindberg and Leipsic are going to get a ton of minutes.

A lot of reasons to watch that game last night. There's quite a few draft eligible prospects and 3 Leafs prospects...

Plus they are 2 powerhouse teams. It was great hockey to watch overall.

Its amazing that the Leafs are finishing the season with Marlies.

Now that is what I call a scorched earth draft rebuild plan.

If a team wanted to attempt to get the #1 overall pick and also give their future kids a look and some experience then this couldn't be scripted any better.
