Prime Lemieux was probably the most ridiculous player to watch, but I never saw Orr or Howe in their primes and I’ll never watch the Oil unless we play them, so I never saw Gretz.

Being on the west coast growing up, i finally got to my first ever NHL game on this date. Just look at the f***ing who's who of legendary players i got to see score. FML, going to be chasing that high forever.

I frankly don’t think we’ll ever see a player with Lemieux’s absolutely insane combination of talents in our lifetimes. Sure Gretz might have had better vision, but nobody was as fun to watch as prime Lemieux, just insane physical gifts plus vision and smarts.
