Yes I just have a feeling he's got one in him before the end of the year. More than likely I'm wrong, but that would make it a lot easier to get to 40.

His cold streak seemed to be due to his wrist issue. He seems to be back to normal of late, so no sign of slowing down to end the year. I think he will do it but more than likely finishes in the range of 37-41

If he's on pace for exactly 40 then it seems more likely he'll lose the pace a bit and fall short.
He certainly could hit it though.

Why he could: he's got 2 games remaining against the Senators (19 goals in 22 career games) and 5 against the Canadiens (15 goals in 19 career games).

Why he could not: chance Canucks games on the 17th and 19th get scrubbed and don't get made up. Only 7 home games left, where he's averaged 0.85 goals a game this season vs. 0.65 on the road ( 9 road games remaining). Always the chance of an injury.

Prediction: he doesn't get to 40. The 2 games missed earlier this season + any missed games vs. Vancouver leave him one goal shy.
