Was wondering if anybody happened to have a source for this, as I can't seem to find any. Expansion draft rules dictate that if a player has two or more "Full" pro seasons, (NHL or AHL) they are exposed to the expansion draft.
By the time of the expansion draft, Honka had played 68 AHL games in 14/15, 73 AHL games in 15/16, and 50 AHL games (16 NHL games) in 16/17. Wondering if anybody else can shed some light on this with an actual source? I checked the CBA and wasn't able to find anything. Wondering if it has something to do with him being one of the rare players that is AHL eligible at 18?
