It's a tough call, but someone is gonna have to sit. Injuries will be inevitable, makes no sense to trade guys like Mac or Liles ATM

Holzer, Steckel, and I'm sure Brown will be injured.

By then, though, I think Nonis will have traded a defencemen allowing the team to keep all the forwards save Steckel.

My choice for forward would be:

JVR/Lupul - Bozak - Kessel
JVR/MacArthur/Komarov - Grabo - Kulemin
JVR/MacArthur/Lupul - Kadri - Frattin
MacArthur/Komarov - McClemant - Brown/Orr/McLaren

Defense I won't bother since I think it is very likely someone gets traded shortly.

I'm gonna go off the board here for a second...

Not a huge fan of steckel, but Mclement is being wasted on the 4th line and Grabo isn't suited for checking line duties and wasting offensive prowess...

Lupul-Grabovski-Kessel (When Lupul is up to game speed)
JVR-Kadri-Frattin
Kulemin-Mclement-Komarov (shutdown line)
MacA-Bozak-Brown

I love the dynamic a tough guy brings to the team, but for the playoffs if they can't play, they won't. Pretty sure Carlyle sat Parros during Anaheim's run?

Holzer, Steckel and Brown make the most sense.

But you can rotate Orr and Brown in and out of the lineup
McLaren has been better than these two IMO

I think this is what MOST LIKELY is gonna go down though, regardless of my radical post. With Orr/Mclaren rotating

Not a fan of Kotska, and McClaren provides more than Orr or Brown. Also believe we should shut down Gunnarsson for the season. He's not playing great due to the injury, and we have depth enough.

Nonis would most likely like to move Liles now. Gardiner won't be rushed with the flexability the team has with his contract. There simply has to be a trade, and unfortunately Kulemin might have to be moved with Liles. Kulemin's not bad either, and by no means am i suggesting he is.

He is a valuable asset that could return a good player, and used to sweeten the pot to move Liles. I'm sure there are some needed very hard decisions that Nonis is going over as we speak.

Some decisions won't be popular. Brown is not safe at all,he could be moved.

Here's what I wish would happen, or at least be given a chance:
Lupul - Grabovski - Kessel
JVR - Kadri - Frattin
MacArthur - Bozak - Kulemin
Komarov - Mcclement - Orr/Mclaren/Brown

Gunnarsson - Phaneuf
Gardiner - Kostka/Komisarek
Fraser/Liles - Franson

I really don't like Komarov playing limited minutes on the 4th line, even with his deficiencies, though.

I'm hoping Nonis can pull off a 2 for 1 deal on the front end AND the backend. The depth has proved to be worth it, though.

Parros played a limited role ,but did play.

Glad someone else is on board with Grabo on first line. Tired of this urban legend that he and Kessel can't play together and the "chemistry" Kessel has with Bozak is really Bozak getting rid of the puck to Kessel whenever it touches his stick

Knowing Carlyle, it'll be Kostka instead of Liles, but I feel like Liles/Komisarek/Gardiner give us the best chance to win.

seriously. Since when is Bozak the only player in the world that Kessel can play with? Bozak can't keep his eyes off Kessel in an attempt to pass it 100% of the time.

You can't have 5 guys in press box (btw you missed Steckle) so 6.

You may have to waive up to 3 guys. So who do you risk waiving. That's the point of the thread.
