we dont have a RD who can play a reliable 20+ min.

i would put phaneuf back over there until (or if ever) we got someone better
even tho its his wrong side and he sucks turning to his right)
because it's clear that gunnarsson is our #2D and more effective as a LD
it would as pave the way for Gardiner to step in on his more suitable left side and perhaps eventually replace Gunnarson as #1LD down the road

When Lupul and Frats are back Steckel will be the odd forward out and I would rotate Orr / Mclaren in as needed. Hopefully Komi will be moved by then but dont see it happening.

Yup this is exactly what I think will happen as well. We can pull this off due to Fraser being on the team. There's enough toughness on the team with only one of Orr/McLaren in the lineup on any given night.
