I would have liked if we could have moved up to get Lapierre at 22, based on his reported upside. Guhle is fine at 16

I would have liked to have traded Tatar for #22 and then taken LaPierre, and then replaced Tatar in the ufa market with Granlund or Dodov. It doesn't seem like Tatar is re-signing after this year anyways.

16) Lapierre or Bourque
47) Mysak
48) Hirvonen
102) Mitch Miller (found out hes a pos so nvm)
109) Biondi
124) Farrell
136) Puutio
171) A. Johansson

Considering the data I posted a few months back, it's a lot harder to select a top 6 forward beyond the 1st round compared to a top 4D, which is why I would have gone for a forward rather than a D here. As for the rest of the draft, this would have done a better job IMO at giving us even more depth down the pipeline.

Myšák is a popular pick, I see.

I would have picked Mercer, but fine with Guhle.

good to have a deep defence pool. Forwards are easier to acquire later if they aren’t elite, which none are projected to be at 16.

would rather have a #3 D than a 2nd line winger.

48: Coe (would have pick later but we trade all of those pick)
102: Biondi
109: Powell
124: Farrel

might have not have pick Biondi or Farrel but I was ok with those pick... if you doing to trade all these pick I don’t see why you aren’t moving up...
MTL really need to step there scouting and development game up...
