Interestingly Suter and Blueger typically get close to 15 min in ice time which doesn't leave enough for Miller and Petey so you can expect Tocchet to push both to play harder in the minutes they do get. I don't really see a 3-4 thing as much as one will play a more offensive role with Garland while the other will mop up tougher in zone and defensive assignments. Depending on whether we're chasing or leading one will play more than the other.
I agree that PDG might be a better overall player than Joshua but what we saw last year was a breakout for Joshua and he is really hard to win puck battles against which wears teams down. At the end of the day he has more value being in the lineup when PDG replaced with any of Pearson Podkolzin or Hoglander is not gonna be a loss and arguably gives us more.
