Another interesting thing would be to dump Bourque and get a guy like David Moss or Korpikoski.

Couple of points.

1) after acquiring Vanek I think it is obvious that Bergevin believes the team is close. There is no way we ice a similar roster minus vanek next season. Habs will add somebody and subtract some.

Who the addition is, is beyond me. Possibly a trade. Maybe a free agent.

2) galchenyuk will not be playing wing on the third line anymore. Either centre or wing on the top six.

3) If Bergevin signs any more stop gaps he will consider their cap hit more. I think his comment about re-evaluating trade value may have something to do with the Briere scenario. He was brought in to be a filler to compliment scoring. (Can't predict the future). And likely to flip at deadline next season for prospect.

4) my opinion get bigger by dumping desharnais. His value is back up now but likely will drop when He chokes come playoff time.

It's hard to know who will be available besides ufa's.

But here are some of my predicted subtractions:

Bork, Briere, weaver, Murray, desharnais (I hope), parros, moen. And vanek

Markov, Eller (if not a piece in a significant deal), subban will be resigned.

Trade targets: bieksa (I wish), e Kane

Make room for galchenyuk to move up lineup. Make room for both beaulieu and tinordi. And add a top six winger thaat can help our 5 on 5. Young guys r a year older and better. We are slowly getting there
