Roy, Gretzky, Béliveau, Richard.

As for current players, maybe Kane as the most clutch but his all-time weight is not comparable to Brady's.

Gretzky.

Brady is in the Gretzky, Jordan, Bolt category of athlete. Pure excellence.

Doesn't make sense to compare. There's no one in the NHL that can do what Tom Brady can do because the difference in the sports doesn't allow it. If you're just asking who's the most clutch player, Brady doesn't really have anything to do with it.

Duncan Keith.

All-time great at his position, multiple championships, seems to beat everyone but LA.

LA is an average regular season team that won two Cups with defense and possession, ergo, they're the Giants.

Maybe a goalie? Roy or Dryden?

Makes no sense, there isn't one. I'm not sure what your first sentence even means, who is the most clutch player?

Edit: is this just a low-key Toews comparison?

Pretty much this.

Football is just not comparable to hockey. Hockey all 5 guys on the ice contribute a lot and then the goalie is obviously monumentally important as well.

Football every position plays a role but the game is disproportionately impacted by the QB over other positions. Just not the same.

Toews sounds about right....very great player in the right situation at the right time but Toews is less overrated than Brady will ever be. Toews could actually play back in the old days in the NHL.....Brady would be a feeble twig in older generations

Brodeur is probably the closest thing in recent years to Tom Brady. If the Devils would've won in 2012, his career would look a lot like Brady's. Consistent regular season team with more than a few trophies to go along with it.

If the Penguins win another one (or two) with Crosby at the forefront, than he could be in the discussion.

the skill and work ethic of crosby, the intangibles of toews plus the luck of having the right guys around him all rolled into one

Toews isn't in the same level of Brady and Gretzky. Great all time player but we are talking about the two best players of all time in their sports.

Brady has never had teammates anywhere near as good as Toews.

And Brady won championships with two different rosters. He was one of two guys on the Superbowl XLIX that was on any of the Patriots previous SB winners and he was the only guy this year.

Don't think you're off at all with the Blackhawks comparison, as they are the closest dynasty hockey has, but it's very disingenuous to say Brady was in the right place at the right time.

He is the right place. He is the right time.
