Because it’s sad watching the Montreal Canadiens, of all teams, struggle this hard: desperately trying to compete without a single “star” or true first line player. A team that, with the shittiest of rosters on paper, never gives up - I mean, look at the team, they’ve given their all these past couple of years. They need a break. Our GM ain’t helping. Also, it would be far more exciting for an original six team like Montreal back in the “playoff” fold. Epic games against Toronto/Boston, and Montreal’s huge fan base will be back, as loud and hyped as ever.

-Worst team of all the play-in teams
-Havent had a top 2 pick in 40 years
-Havent intentionally tanked
-Has no elite forwards, and has not had one in a really long time
