Who cares. It's sad how this org. seemingly has put more emphasis on having the best 4th line than the number one line.
All our lines = boderline 4th line.Who cares. It's sad how this org. seemingly has put more emphasis on having the best 4th line than the number one line.

Yeah outside of Moore and Halpern, Gauthier didn't construct a good 4th line. Like the Blair Betts fiasco where the Habs didnt have a 4th line center so they claimed one who failed a physical. Or getting studs like Staubitz, Andreas Engqvist, Aaron Palushaj, Mike Blunden and Petteri Nokelainen.Gauthier was so terrible I think Moore was a fluke
This thread only shows how easy it is to find good bottom liners.
Noke wasnt so bad. But to be fair, Gauthier was only in charge for 2 years..Yeah outside of Moore and Halpern, Gauthier didn't construct a good 4th line. There was a big demand for an enforcer back in those days. People were saying if we're going to suck and have guys like Engqvist anyways on the bottom line, might as well bring in an enforcer.I liked Staubitz.
Gainey was the best at assembling a team, period.
