As you can see, I have little experience in ice hockey. I just started playing on ice about 2 years ago. I've been coaching for about 2 years (USA Hockey Level 2) and I try to get on the ice at least twice a week for a stick time or pickup. I unfortunately didn't get a chance to play hockey growing up in Pittsburgh just because it was so expensive and not that popular in the city (not nearly as popular it is now). So now I've been making up for lost time. I consider myself a student of the game and I try to impart every aspect of the game to the players I coach aside from what's on the surface.

Well I picked up hockey about a year ago and I started at absolutly zero, I had to learn skating and everything. I think I have progressed fairly well. In inline hockey more than in ice. Even though I don't weigh much for my size I still play the body a lot and do fairly well. Ian Laperierre is my role model, because of his dedication to the sport and the way he plays.

I never really played any particular position long enough to become very good at it. Started as a player at age 5, then filled in as a goalie from time to time at age 9, then quit a few years later. Then returned at age 15 as a forward, switched to defensemen for a year and a half, and filled in as goalie again. I quit after high school, rejoined as a goalie last year during open ice times, and now play both forward and backup goalie!
