It's just chatter. Holland never made big trades as wings gm.

Also I'm sure getting burnt with last year's deadline has just made him more patient to stick to his formula.

Meanwhile, he's doing a better job on his offside than almost all of the other D on their natural side.

It's the old Oiler way. Throw a rookie in there because he is the best option and we have to win now at all costs.

So instead of raw rookie Bouchard learning the intricacies of the right side such as defensive schemes, forechecker approaches, outlet schemes, he will instead learn the LD basics like retrieving pucks against the left wall. IMO, a poor choice of time management and player development. He and Broberg were drafted to be the guys for Edmonton.
