How do I get into an argument with you every time you post?

Crosby is finished at an elite level IN THE REGULAR SEASON. Concussed too much.

If it wasn't so comical i'd have you on ignore.

You posted first, are you serious? You get in an argument because I have to debunk everything you post. I feel like I'm soiling myself in the dredges of hyperbole when I come across some of this stuff.

If hes so concussed how is able to suddenly be elite in the playoffs??????????.

If you ignored me would I still see your posts? Sounds authoritarian. Silence anyone who disagrees?

As serious as the Joker's enemies.

During the regular season he just floats around picking up garbage points vs the hapless Flyers/Isles and then decides to punish what's left of his brain in the playoffs. Dude is flirting with danger imo. Same with Ekblad, dude is like 12 with 105 concussions.

Of course, why would I listen to drivel like yours? Pure sludge I have to sift through every single day until I find one of your statistical posts about McDavid then I give it a solid like but other than that it's pure toxicity.

So batman? I must be too old for these jokes or memes....I might just need to deactivate my account.

12? Clearly you subscribe to the Jalen Ramsey school of hyperbole.

All of my posts are statistically sound, such that you have to personally attac me obviously. The fact that I even need to post stats about McDavid because of his many Doughters, shows the quality of some of the posters. Just like these tirades about The Kidd Sid. Dude won all there is and more, he doesn't answer to your and your professional medical diagnoses

He looked good in the playoffs because thats what he does. Turns it up to 110% come the postseason. No wonder his playoff numbers are otherworldy.

You mean his 1st round numbers? He is under ppg outside of round 1 and his goal-scoring in ECF and SCF pro-rates to 22 goals per 82 games.

He is 31 folks... You all just remember him as being Sid the Kid... look at yourselves in the mirror you folks got old too. He will still be great in the playoffs but to expect him to still play at his prime (20's) is not possible.

he's just not the 100 point guy he used to be anymore

you'd think people would be used to him being more of a 80-90 point type nowadays after 4 seasons of him doing it

He might enjoy these accolades now but maybe when he's 70 he will regret it because his mental health has been compromised. I think a person would trade Cup's and Ross' if they had a serious health issue.

Ekblad is basically 12 in the hockey world.

It wasn't a meme, it was a quote from a comic series which has been around for years 'n' years.

I haven't see him play once this year, but I'm sure he's just as great as he's always been. The guy will be fine and at the end of the year will have another 90+ point season. Still the best all around player in the world, in my opinion. As for having 0 goals in 5 games? It means nothing. Taylor Hall hasn't scored yet either, but he still looks just as dominant as he did last year when he was MVP. Someone bump this thread around new years when it will look rediculous.

Five games. It's as silly to say there's something wrong with him, as it is to say he's "saving himself for the post season", a little over 6% into the regular season.

I only saw pitts vs wash and he looked really good in that game.

He was 2nd in xGF last year - his pt total was due to a low 5v5 oish%. For that reason i find it hard to believe he is done in the regular season. Maybe he just tries to create chances and not finish them!

Why do we always get a ''What's up with (insert player)?'' thread after a handful of games or even a month into a season, where they've started out producing slow?

WHY?!

Hmmm. Going into Toronto with all this talk about the young studs around the league. Looks like the type of game to me where Sid and Malkin will want to send a message that the older cats still got it.

Didnt he have like 6 or 7 games to start the sesaon with no points last year?

I'm sure he's taking longer time to boot up as he gets older but at the end of the season he's still a PPG player and a great post season player.

Crosby's still one of the all-time greats, but the guy did turn 31 this year.

Gretzky after 30 - One Art Ross
Lemieux after 30 - One Art Ross
Esposito after 30 - One Art Ross
Dionne after 30 - Two big seasons, didn't win the Ross
Jagr after 30 - One big season, didn't win the Ross
Sakic after 30 - One big season, didn't win the Ross
Lafleur after 30 - Not an Art Ross contender
Yzerman after 30 - Not an Art Ross contender
Hull after 30 - Not an Art Ross contender, spent most of his time in the WHA
Orr after 30 - Wasn't even playing anymore

And these are the all-time great scoring threats of the post-expansion era.

It's reasonable to think Crosby will have one or maybe two more seasons contending for a scoring title, but the expectation really ought to be that he'll soon slide down to the PPG range and enter the late-career phase where he focuses on playing a two way game.

I'll preface this by saying I did zero research, but how many guys in the last 20 or so years are pro-rating to 40+ goals in the CF/SCF (with a sample size close to Crosby's)?

1 goal every 4 games in the CF/SCF is not bad by any means. You can't expect RS production that deep into the playoffs.

After 5 games Auston Matthews is the GOAT and Sidney Crosby is finished.

Yep. Welcome to HF.
